Project Detail:
PATT aims to reforest protected area within Ratchaburi that has little remaining original vegetation on it and is covered with weeds. Existing trees will remain but weeds and grasses will be cleared to allow the planting of native tree species suitable to the local area to regenerate the soil, bring back a forest, and restore biodiversity to the area. The land is Government land dedicated to conservation; this land is situated in communities. The communities set up the "Community Forestry Group" to conserve and reforest the forest area in Baan Pu Yang, however with little budget they lack the means to conduct meaningful projects and thus seek the cooperation of partners. PATT is pleased to join forces with interested partners to sponsor tree planting projects to improve the environment.
