On the 1st of October 2014, about forty people whom eight are from HIOKI Singapore, Thailand, and Japan together with 30 students and teachers from Subtai School planted 191 trees with 16 various native tree species in Baan Subtai, Khao Yai National Park. This is part of their “Green Point” campaign which every 10 points, they will plant one tree with PATT Foundation at Khao Yai National Park.

HIOKI also planted trees in Nagano, Japan for more than 60,000 trees and now this is time to share their contribution to society throughout the world.

We had very good time and we shared our passion to show our respect to humanity with involving students from Subtai School to join the activities. HIOKI also presented footballs and snacks for all students as well as taught them some Japanese words such as “Tanoshi” which means “Let’s Enjoy”.

Domo Arigato to all of HIOKI staff. We were so grateful to have you to join us to make a better world for the next generation together.

Project Overview

Plant A Tree Today Foundation (PATT) established a native plant nursery which provides the foundation for ongoing sustainable forest restoration and community development projects in and around Khao Yai National Park since August 2008.

The Khao Yai Forest Restoration Project aims to restore the forest and biological diversity of that area. This not only assists with conservation efforts in the region but also globally the reforestation will help to combat climate change and reduce the impact of climate change.

PATT‘s vision was to establish a nursery to provide the foundations for ongoing sustainable reforestation and community development projects in and around Khao Yai National Park. The nursery centre would also act as a training centre for local people and an environmental education facility.
