Education

Since PATT Foundation’s first tree planting project in Thailand we have seen the benefit of incorporating environmental as well as horticultural education into what we do.

We think it’s incredibly important to work with those around our tree planting projects to create woodland ambassadors who will then help care for their local woodland and forests for years to come.

Over 30,000 school children were educated about the environment during our tree planting and habitat building projects in and around Asia.

Training and Education at PATT Foundation

Interested in learning new skills in horticulture? Gain a Level 1 Award in Horticulture or a Level 1 Certificate in Horticulture while volunteering with PATT Foundation.

With a mix of practical and classroom based learning, the course will include topics such as personal safety, soul preparation and management, identifying flowers and weeds, plant propagation and overall plant care.

The course is ideal for those wanting to change career, upskill or who have a general interest in landscaping and gardening. There is no experience required.

Our greenhouse site in Preston, Hull is a NOCN Group approved centre able to offer the Level 1 Award in Horticulture and the Level 1 Certificate in Horticulture. For more information about training and qualifications, email info@pattfoundation.org or admin@pattfoundation.org
