Mr. Andrew Steel - Founder, Managing Director
Andy is originally from Hull in the north of England but has lived and worked overseas for many years, initially in Sri Lanka and now Thailand. He comes from a background in international management for 15 years and forestry for the last 4. He started PATT to address the problem of deforestation, particularly within Asia.

United Kingdom

Mr. Stuart Chapman - Financial Director
Based in the UK, Stuart has worked in international finance for a number of years, including seven years in Africa. More recently, he was Finance Director for International Baccalaureate from 1994 to 2006. Away from the world of finance, Stuart is a keen golfer.
Mr. George Walker - Trustee
Former Director-General of International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO), Professor Walker helped start PATT off in the founding stages. He has been a long-time advocate of innovative education programmes and PATT is proud to have him in our corner.
Mrs. Valerie Seekings - Trustee
Former Assistant Bank Manager at the Bank of Malawi, Val is a well-respected member of British society as well as her community where she lives in Malawi. She lives life to the fullest, fundraising for worthy causes and having adventures whenever possible.
Chris Parker - Communications Lead
Christopher is proud of his Hull roots. As a Mail scholar, he went on to receive a First Class BA Hons in Journalism. His concept to involve youngsters in a round the world yacht race to highlight modern-day slavery still exists was praised by the High Commissioner of South Africa. Working with investigators into the devastating 2007 Hull floods, his PR skills ensured the final report hit all the national headlines. Always looking for a new angle, as Hull 2012 communications lead, his partnership theatre production to inspire young people also received national accolades. Christopher loves travelling and spending quality time with his wife and two young children.
Thailand
Mrs. Charlotte Whalley - Trustee (Director)
Charlotte Whalley was born in Thailand and although educated overseas, speaks fluent Thai and considers Thailand home. She has always been passionate about the environment, human rights and more recently micro-finance and social business. Because of all this Charlotte was delighted to become a director of the Thai PATT Foundation.
Mrs. Saranya Makinson - Trustee
Saranya, originally from Thailand, has worked as a management consultant and has long been interested in the environment with a particular emphasis on the educational aspects of PATT's work. She consistently supports PATT's drive to educate children at a young age to understand the benefits of conservation and the regeneration of Thailand's natural assets. Her other interests include sailing, travelling and cooking.
Mrs. Marisa Narula - Trustee
Marisa Narula, born in Thailand and brought up in Darjeeling, India, ran the first holistic business in Bangkok for 6 years and counselled young and mature adults in life issues, as well as ran corporate training classes for companies around the country. She now runs her family's pharmaceutical company and also finds the time to stand as trustee on the PATT Board in Thailand.
Jane Bailey - Country Manager Thailand
Jane has lived and worked in Thailand for the past 11 years and has travelled extensively around the region on both a business and personal capacity. Having worked at management level in education, healthcare, insurance and finance, Jane has also been active in various charitable events such as Breast Cancer Support Group, Midnight Run, People Eye Care Foundation and Ploenchit Fair. With a love for nature and the environment, PATT is the next obvious choice and challenge!
Ms. Kwanjai Satchatham - Reforestation Project Manager
Kwan was born in Chanthaburi, Thailand and graduated from Chulalongkorn University with a B.Sc in Environmental Science and M.Sc. in Environmental Management. Kwan has worked at PATT since November 2007. On a more personal note, she loves all things Hello Kitty and Disney, and talking on the phone with friends.
Roger Steinhardt - Forestry & Forest Carbon Manager
Roger Steinhardt is originally from Australia and has a background in Forestry and International Development. He has worked primarily in Cambodia, Lao PDR, Sri Lanka and Scotland but has also been involved in projects in the sectors of forestry, agriculture and rural development throughout the Asia-Pacific region. Outside work, Roger enjoys travelling, hiking and adventure sports.

Tidarach Toktang – Forestry & Forest Carbon Assistant
Tidarat T. Chupraphatthasri was born in Kanchanaburi, Thailand and graduated from Khon Khaen University with B.Sc (Biology) and completed M.Sc. Biology (Ecology) from Chiang Mai University. Then she spent several years working with FORRU (Forest Restoration Research Unit) at Chiang Mai University. She involved in several researches on the forest ecology topic and be a part to develop the education program to make forest management interesting young generation with FAO-RAP.

Demis Galli – Project Manager
Demis is originally from Italy but pursued his B.Sc in forestry from University Putra Malaysia in Malaysia and his M.Sc. in Natural Resources Management from the Asian Institute of Technology in Thailand. He had various working experiences in the forestry sector in south east Asia where he worked for private sector, he worked also as consultant and ultimately in academia as research associate doing research in mangrove ecosystems. His major interests are; tropical forest conservation and restoration, community forestry, watershed management and agroforestry

Mr. Rungrueng Lengwilas (Deuay) - Nursery Manager
Deuay is responsible for the successful day to day running of the nursery, managing activities involving the nursery and forest restoration, and managing the relationship with local stakeholders. He is a Sap Tai local, an experienced nature guide, knowledgeable in forest restoration, and passionate about environmental conservation.

Mr. Khwan Tipmorn (Koh) - Nursery Assistant
Koh is responsible for providing support to the nursery manager including seedling production and forest restoration. He is also a Sap Tai local with substantial knowledge of the flora and fauna specific to the area.

Steve Griffin - Finance Consultant
A qualified Australian CPA. Steve has held senior Finance positions with Accenture (Asia Pacific Regional Head of Finance – Financial Services) and Baker & McKenzie Lawyers (Finance Director – Australia) and, more recently, roles within the NRMA organisation in Australia relating to their Mergers & Acquisitions activity.
During 2006 and 2007, Steve held the Chief Financial Officer's position for a listed Managed Forestry Investment company – Touchwood Ltd. – with operations throughout the Asia Pacific, Middle East and UK. He was primarily involved in Initial Project engagement, Land Procurement, Carbon Support & Registry Services, & Project Quality Assurance.

Mrs. Sue Steel - Administrative Support
Sue, the mother of PATT's Founder, Andrew, retired in September 2007 after 27 years at Abbey Bank in England as a Customer Service Manager. She now lives in Bangkok with family. Sue is happy to support her son in his mission to combat climate change, so she volunteers in the PATT office two days a week doing administration, helping with EcoKids, and tree planting events.
India
Mr. Vashitwa Mishra - Country Manager
Vash is PATT India's Country Manager. He completed the world's first MBA in Strategic Carbon Management from the UK and returned back to India where people need him more. He also works as General Manager for Global Carbon Exchange in India, a Carbon/Energy consultancy company headquartered in South Africa.
Indonesia
Mr. Christian Fritz - Country Manager
Christian is a certified financial accountant and tax consultant with a degree in business management from VWA Munich with 15 years experience in financial controlling under EU and Asian regulations. Christian has many interests and projects on the go at any one time, but he represents PATT in Indonesia because a main focus for him is in reforestation and climate change issues.

Mr. Ian Loots - Country Manager
With 30 years in the irrigation industry, Ian's vision is to turn deserts into food & forests through teaching people to grow their own food as well as planting trees. He wants to empower people through teaching them to grow their own food, providing reliable nutrition for their families, creating employment in the marketplace and encouraging sustainable living practices.
Hong Kong
Dr. Merrin Pearse - Country Manager
Merrin is passionate about reconnecting people with nature. He has over 20 years of experience working in the land surveying and mapping industry on projects that have connected him to all the continents of the world. Through growing up on a diary farm in New Zealand and then via his work, Merrin has seen many examples of how land development and agriculture are not working in harmony with nature. Recreating eco-systems through reforestation is one vital step that Merrin believes will help people to connect sustainably with nature.
